Mississippi Braves 2008 schedule

The Mississippi Braves announce the release of the 2008 Southern League regular season schedule. The M-Braves open the '08 campaign on the road at Huntsville on April 3rd before returning home on April 9th to take on the Mobile BayBears in the home opener.

Mississippi has 11 home games in April and 15 in May. Trustmark Park will host 15 games in June and 14 in July before closing out the season with 14 games in August and the regular season finale on September 1st.

Once again the Southern League will use the five-game series format during the '08 season. The Braves first 10-game road trip will be May 15-24 at Chattanooga and Tennessee before their first 10-game home stand May 26-June 4 vs. West Tenn and Birmingham. Mississippi finishes out the year with their second 10-game road trip at Mobile and Carolina followed by their second 10-game home stand vs. Mobile and West Tenn August 23-September 1.

As in '07, the M-Braves do have two six-game series and two four-game series on '08. The Braves take on the Montgomery Biscuits and the Birmingham Barons in back-to-back six-game series in June followed by four-game series vs. Montgomery and the Chattanooga Lookouts to start July.
