Let's play 1 1/2: Hawks, Isotopes resume on Sunday

Saturday's game suspended due to electrical problems
September 2, 2007
Saturday's game between the RedHawks and Albuquerque was suspended in the top of the fifth inning with Oklahoma leading 14-4 when full field lighting was unable to be restored after lightning struck a light tower. The game will be resumed at 3:30 p.m. CDT on Sunday, followed by a seven-inning game.

Half the lights went out when lightning made a direct hit on one of two left field towers. The lights were unable to be restored on Saturday despite a delay that lasted roughly 90 minutes.

Oklahoma has four homers in the first four innings of the game, including a two-run shot by Victor Diaz, a three-run blast by Kevin Mahar, a two-run shot by Nate Gold and a solo by Kevin West. Brett Carroll has accounted for all four of Albuquerque's runs with a pair of homers off Oklahoma starter Eric Hurley, a three-run shot in the second and a solo in the fourth.

Play will resume with Nate Gold leading off the fifth inning owning a 1-2 count.
