Canadians welcome newest Girls of Summer

(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, BC) - The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club is proud to announce that due to the record number of entrants to the annual Girls of Summer marketing campaign that several women have been selected to help promote C's baseball in 2012.

"This search for the next Girl of Summer here at Scotiabank Field really helped us appreciate some of the many reasons women love coming out to our games," says coordinator Grace Kim who was one of the selection committee that had to sift through letters from all across the Lower Mainland.

The Vancouver Canadians Girls of Summer is a marketing campaign aimed at female fans who wish to share their excitement about Canadians Baseball to those within their own community.

Cody Carolyn, Hollie Daley, Samantha Deutscher, Robyn Grant, Michelle Henderson, Laura Larson, Megan McKay-Hall, Ellen Niemer, Jamie Power, Shannon Sawicki, Anita Scarrotts and Katie Sherlock are his year's Girls of Summer.

The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club opens up the 2012 home schedule on Wednesday, June 20th at 7:05pm as they face the tri-City Dust Devils in a re-match of last year's Northwest League Championship.
