Smokies to host Biscuits starting May 1

Fireworks, Star Wars Night and Buck Night on tap for series against Biscuits

Your Tennessee Smokies will welcome the Montgomery Biscuits, the Double-A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays to Smokies Park on Tuesday, May 1 for a five-game series. There will be tons of great entertainment for you and your family during this homestand. It all kicks off on Tuesday, May 1 at 7:15 p.m.

Don't worry about spending too much money on Tuesday night, as it's Buck Night at Smokies Park. Fans can purchase a hot dog, small popcorn and a small soda for $1 each! Come on down to the park early as Pigeon Forge performer Skyler McAllister will be performing before first pitch. It's also Pilot Prize Night - where everyone's a winner. Anyone who lives or works in Jefferson or Hamblen County can receive a $2 discount on regular priced tickets by bringing your ID or pay stub to the box office, presented by The Citizen Tribune and Standard Banner.

Wednesday's 11:30 a.m. game is Safe Kids Health & Awareness Day, presented by Kohl's, Safe Kids, and East Tennessee Children's Hospital. Anyone who lives or works in Blount County can receive a $2 discount on a regular priced ticket by bring your ID or pay stub to the box office, presented by The Maryville Daily Times.

On Thursday's 7:15 game, kids 12-and-under, with a paid admission, get to eat a hot dog, bag of chips and a small soda for free, courtesy of Q93. After the game kids will also get to participate in, Shoney's Kids Run the Bases. It's also another Pilot Prize Night - where everyone's winner. Prior to the game, 2011 Daytona 500 winner, and Knoxville native, Trevor Bayne's Nationwide Series show car will be parked right outside the stadium, courtesy of Crawdad's Classic. There will also be a Crawdad's Classic hot sauce sampling during the game.

May the force be with you for Star Wars Night, presented by Fountainhead College, during Friday's 7:15 game. You'll want to come early and watch the cast from the Lumberjack Feud perform pregame. There will be a Corvair Club Car Parade around the field and Miss Cheerwine will at the park signing autographs and letting fans sample the popular drink. During the game, fans will have the opportunity to win some cash, by entering for a chance to enter the Citizens National Bank Money Grab. After the game stick around as their will be a postgame fireworks show right after the last out, presented by Knoxville News Sentinel, Pepsi, Coors Light, WIVK 107.7, and WVLT TV-8. Star Wars fans will want to come to Smokies Park on Friday Night, as the entire game will be played to the Star Wars theme, presented by FountainheadSaturday night's game will start at 6:15 p.m. and the Smoky Mountain Model A Club will be parading their cars around the field. Skyler McAllister will return to Smokies Park for a second time this homestand to perform pregame. Stick around after the game for the Postgame Ball Toss, presented by Fast Frame.

Smokies tickets can be purchased at www.smokiesbaseball.com or at (865) 286-2300. Adult field level or bleacher seats are $10/$8. Child (12-and-under) and senior (55+) field level or bleacher seats are $9/$7. Fans buying tickets at least four hours before game time get $1 off each ticket.
