Flashback: San Francisco Giants
April 9 and 12 -- Kelvin Pichardo recorded six consecutive strikeouts over two relief appearances for San Jose. The 21-year-old right-hander fanned the final two batters in a perfect ninth inning as the Giants beat the Modesto Nuts, 7-6, in 12 frames. Three days later, Pichardo struck out the first four batters he faced in a 3-2, 16-inning win over Rancho Cucamonga.
April 13 -- The Augusta GreenJackets stole 10 bases during a 10-4 victory over the visiting Charleston RiverDogs. Brian Bocock and Michael McBryde led the charge with three thefts apiece.
April 16 -- Joseph Dyche and Sharlon Schoop each drove in four runs as Augusta extended its season-opening winning streak to 12 games with a 12-8 victory over Charleston. That same day, Adam Cowart of the GreenJackets was named the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week, and Fresno's Tim Lincecum earned the same honor in the Pacific Coast League. Cowart opened the year 3-0 with a 1.06 ERA, while Lincecum won his first two starts, striking out 17 over 12 shutout innings.
April 21 -- Connecticut's Alex Requena became the fourth player in the Minor Leagues to steal four bases in a game in 2007. He stole second, third and home in the first inning, then swiped second in the fourth as the Defenders dropped the New Britain Rock Cats, 10-0.
April 23 -- Dave McKae was named California League Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 and allowing just one run while striking out 13 over 12 2/3 innings.
April 24 -- Brian Bocock stole second and third base in the first inning, then did the same in the sixth as Augusta blanked Kannapolis, 9-0. The four steals gave him 18 over the first 20 games of the season.
April 29 -- Tim Lincecum struck out 14 batters, including six straight, over six innings as Fresno blanked Colorado Springs, 3-0. The 22-year-old right-hander again was named Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week the next day and made his Major League debut the following week.
April 29 -- Ronnie Ray and two relievers combined on a one-hitter as San Jose beat High Desert, 7-2, at Municipal Stadium. After Ray allowed two unearned runs on one hit and three walks over six innings, Taylor Wilding and Wayne Foltin combined for three perfect frames to close it out.
May 4 -- Pablo Sandoval went 5-for-6 with an RBI and three runs scored as San Jose improved to 20-9 with a 13-1 victory over the Bakersfield Blaze. Sandoval collected four singles and a double to raise his average to .347.

May 7 -- Nate Schierholtz was named Pacific Coast League Offensive Player of the Week after hitting .545 with one homer, nine RBIs, six doubles and seven runs scored while raising his average to .356.
May 13 -- After opening the season at Triple-A Fresno and hitting .263 with four homers and 15 RBIs in 29 games, Fred Lewis went 5-for-6 and hit for the cycle in the San Francisco Giants' 15-2 rout of the Colorado Rockies.
May 27 -- Eugenio Velez went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases in Connecticut's 4-1 win over the Trenton Thunder. The 25-year-old second baseman stole second and third in the second inning, then swiped second and third again in the sixth.
June 3 and 8 -- Billy Sadler recorded seven consecutive strikeouts over two relief appearances for Fresno. The 26-year-old right-hander struck out the side in the ninth inning in the Grizzlies' 3-1 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes, then fanned four straight in an 8-5 victory over the Las Vegas 51s five days later.
June 11 -- Fresno's Chris Begg was named Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week after tossing the first complete-game shutout in the circuit in 2007. The 27-year-old right-hander scattered three hits and struck out four in a 3-0 win over Las Vegas. Augusta's Benjamin Snyder earned the same honor in the South Atlantic League after winning both of his starts and fanning 14 over 13 innings. His GreenJackets clinched the first-half Southern Division title two days later.
June 17 -- Augusta's Kevin Pucetas was tabbed as a starting pitcher in the South Atlantic League All-Star Game. The 23-year-old righty tossed one perfect inning in the contest, though his South All-Stars lost, 3-1.
June 18 -- Augusta's Clayton Tanner was named South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 and allowing three runs over 13 1/3 innings. Connecticut's John Bowker earned Eastern League Offensive Player of the Week, hitting .478 with two homers, 12 RBIs and seven runs scored.
June 22 -- Pablo Sandoval went 5-for-5 with a homer and a career-high five RBIs as visiting San Jose beat Bakersfield, 11-6. It was the second five-hit game of the season for the 20-year-old catcher.

June 22 -- Emmanuel Burris raised his average to .339 after going 5-for-6 in Augusta's 11-7 road win over the Greensboro Grasshoppers. The 25-year-old shortstop collected five singles, two runs scored and an RBI in the 11-inning contest.
June 30 and July 2 -- Sergio Romo struck out six consecutive batters over two relief outings for San Jose. The 24-year-old right-hander fanned the final five batters he faced in a 4-2 win over Stockton, then struck out his first batter in an 8-7 victory over Lancaster two days later.
June 30 -- Fred Lewis homered and drove in five runs as Fresno cruised to a 13-4 road win over Sacramento. Lewis smacked a three-run homer and an RBI single in an 11-run fifth, then delivered a run-scoring single in the seventh.

July 2 -- Augusta's Daniel Griffin was named South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week after going 1-0 with nine strikeouts over 10 scoreless innings.
July 6 -- Brett Pill went 5-for-5 with three RBIs and Ben Snyder became the SAL's first 11-game winner as Augusta pounded Hickory, 9-0. Pill singled in the first inning before stroking an RBI single in the third. The 22-year-old first baseman also singled in the fifth, ripped an RBI single in the seventh and delivered an RBI double in the ninth.

It was the fifth time a member of the GreenJackets won the award in 2007. Connecticut's Tyler Von Schell was selected as Eastern League Offensive Player of the Week after hitting .464 with three homers, 10 RBIs and nine runs. Salem-Keizer's Matthew Downs earned the same honor in the Northwest League after going 13-for-26 with two homers, five doubles and 12 runs scored.
July 11 -- Juan Jean doubled and stole home in the seventh inning as Augusta dropped Asheville, 5-0. It was the 21-year-old second baseman's 24th steal of the season.
July 18 -- Scott McClain continued his hot hitting with a homer and five RBIs as Fresno pounded Tucson, 16-1. The 35-year-old first baseman was named Pacific Coast League Offensive Player of the Week after going 13-for-26 with five homers, 14 RBIs, four doubles and nine runs scored.
July 23 -- Fresno's Matt Kinney was named Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 and allowing just one run while striking out six over 11 innings. Connecticut's Brooks McNiven earned the same honor in the Eastern League, going 1-0 with 15 shutout innings over two starts.
July 29 -- Connecticut pounded out 20 hits in a 20-13 win over the Portland Sea Dogs. Julio Cordido paced the visiting Defenders as he went 4-for-6 with a homer and seven RBIs. Tyler Von Schell went deep twice and drove in three runs.

July 30 -- San Jose's Ronnie Ray was named California League Pitcher of the Week after striking out a season-high 11 over seven shutout innings in a 4-0 win over the Visalia Oaks. Salem-Keizer's Jesse English earned the same honor in the Northwest League, striking out 14 over six scoreless frames.
Aug. 3 -- Adam Witter slugged three solo homers to power San Jose to a 5-1 victory over Bakersfield. Witter was also named California League Offensive Player of the Week, hitting .419 (13-for-31) with five homers, nine RBIs and nine runs scored.
Aug. 15 -- Three pitchers combined on a four-hitter and Matt Downs smacked a two-run homer as Salem-Keizer notched its 11th straight victory with a 4-0 road win over Everett.
Aug. 20 -- Fresno's Sun-Woo Kim was named Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 and tossing a five-hit shutout against Salt Lake. Salem-Keizer's Matt Downs was named Northwest League Offensive Player of the Week for the second time on the season.
Aug. 22 -- Scott McClain homered in three straight innings and drove in five runs to lead Fresno to a 9-2 win over Salt Lake.

Aug. 25 -- Matt Downs and Shane Jordan each stole home in Salem-Keizer's 5-3 win over Everett. Three days later, Downs was named the Northwest League co-Most Valuable Player and was one of four members of the Volcanoes selected to the Northwest League postseason All-Star Team.
Aug. 27 -- Jared Cranston was named Northwest League Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 and striking out 18 over 11 innings.
Aug. 29 -- Travis Denker homered and set a career high with six RBIs to lift visiting San Jose past Lancaster, 9-5.
Sept. 1 -- Tomas De La Rosa singled and stole home in the ninth inning of Fresno's 4-1 win over Portland. Meanwhile, Dayton Buller tripled twice and collected five RBIs during a 15-run fifth inning as Connecticut drubbed Bowie, 21-1.
Sept. 9 -- Waldis Joaquin fired six dominant innings as Salem-Keizer blanked Tri-City, 2-0, in Game 3 of the Northwest League Finals. The 20-year-old right-hander scattered two hits and a walk while striking out seven.
Sept. 12 -- A rehabbing Fred Lewis homered twice and Pablo Sandoval also went deep as San Jose topped Visalia, 7-5, to win the California League North Division Finals in four games.

Sept. 14 -- Augusta's Kevin Pucetas finished 15-4 with a Minor League-leading 1.86 ERA to earn the second-annual Most Spectacular Pitcher Award.
Sept. 18 -- Four pitchers combined on a two-hitter and Brian Bocock belted a three-run homer as San Jose captured the California League title with a 7-1 victory over Lake Elsinore.
