Iowa Cubs in the Postseason

Several members of the 2007 Iowa Cubs squad were on hand when the Chicago Cubs took on the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League Division Series. 

The Chicago Cubs' 25-man playoff roster included nine players who wore an Iowa jersey this season (Ronny Cedeno, Ryan Dempster, Mike Fontenot, Kevin Hart, Carlos Marmol, Matt Murton, Felix Pie, Geovany Soto, Daryle Ward) and six more that have worn an Iowa Cubs uniform in the past (Rich Hill, Derrek Lee, Ryan Theriot, Kerry Wood, Michael Wuertz and Carlos Zambrano).

Eleven former Iowa Cubs are on the playoff rosters for the Phillies, Angels, Red Sox, Yankees, Indians and Diamondbacks.

Philadelphia Phillies: Pitchers Antonio Alfonseca, Tom Gordon and Jamie Moyer.

Los Angeles Angels:  Pitchers Darren Oliver and Justin Speier. Outfielder Gary Matthews Jr. is on the disabled list with a knee injury.

Boston Red Sox: Infielder Eric Hinske.

New York Yankees: Pitcher Kyle Farnsworth and catcher Jose Molina.

Cleveland Indians:  Pitcher Joe Borowski. Infielder Casey Blake is a native of Indianola, Iowa.

Arizona Diamondbacks:  Infielder Augie Ojeda and pitcher Juan Cruz
