Baseball Fever makes donation to ALS Association
The group sold raffle tickets for a number of great items including a Curt Schilling autographed jersey, SWB Yankees autographed jersey & bat, autographed ball by Hall of Famer Ferguson Jenkins and an original Red Barons team jacket.
"Baseball Fever's main purpose is to support the organization and the Yankees' players," said President Dave Meyer. "The raffle we conducted this season allowed us to raise funds not only for the ALS Association, but also to purchase gifts for the players and to purchase items for the stadium like wheel chairs."
Coupled with the Autograph Party and Auction in July, the Yankees and Baseball Fever have raised over $35,000 in the effort to "Strikeout ALS".
"Baseball Fever has been a tremendous partner with the Yankees," said Director of Public Relations Mike Cummings. "From providing welcome home gifts for the players to volunteering their time at various functions to cheering loudly for the home team, their work often goes under appreciated."
