April 23 -- Corpus Christ's Drew Sutton, sporting a six-game hitting streak, was named Texas League Offensive Player of the Week (for the week from April 16 to April 22) after going 13-for-27 with five runs scored.
April 27 -- Tim Raines Jr. ended a five-hour, 26-minute marathon with an RBI single in the 18th inning to give Corpus Christi a 7-6 win over Midland. Playing for Round Rock later in the season (Aug. 27), Raines would rip a walk-off homer in the 10th, shattering a scoreless tie to defeat Albuquerque.
April 29 -- Jonny Ash of Corpus Christi extended his hitting streak to 10 games with his first homer of the year, a two-out, two-run blast that sent the Hooks to a 5-4 win over the Frisco RoughRiders. Ash's hitting streak would end at 11 games the following day, but not before the Hooks' second baseman, who struck out just four times in his first 78 at-bats, earned Texas League Offensive Player of the Week honors for April 23-29.
May 2 -- Round Rock's Chad Reineke allowed just one hit over seven innings in the Express' 5-1 win over New Orleans. Ten days later (May 12), Reineke turned in his fourth scoreless outing of the young season as he limited the visiting Portland Beavers to two hits and three walks over 6 1/3 innings while striking out seven.
May 5 -- Chris Salamida of Salem gave up just one hit and one walk over eight dominant innings in a 6-0 win over the Kinston Indians.
May 7 -- Two days later, Brian Bogusevic took a perfect game into the sixth for the Avalanche, retiring the first 15 batters he faced and allowing one hit over seven innings in a 3-0 victory over the Winston-Salem Warthogs. Bogusevic would eclipse teammate Chris Salamida for the Carolina League Pitcher of the Week award after going 2-0 with a 0.64 ERA in his two starts.
May 8 -- Mark McLemore, Stephen Randolph and Paul Estrada combined on a one-hitter, as Round Rock knocked off the Tacoma Rainiers, 5-0. Later in the season (July 25), McLemore, Randolph and Philip Barzilla would combine on a one-hitter as Round Rock edged Tucson, 1-0, in 10 innings to split a doubleheader.

May 12 -- Greenville suffered its 10th consecutive loss, falling to Augusta, 8-4.
May 24 -- Corpus Christi's Chance Douglass twirled a four-hitter to give the Hooks their first complete-game shutout of the year in a 3-0 victory over the Arkansas Travelers. Douglass struck out three and walked one, helping him earn him Texas League Pitcher of the Week honors.
May 24 -- Making just his second start in 15 appearances on the season for Salem, Rory Shortell was perfect for five innings as the Avalanche held off the Frederick Keys, 5-3. Shortell struck out six of the first 15 batters he faced.
May 27 -- Round Rock's Philip Barzilla was named Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA in two starts. Meanwhile, Salem's Chris Salamida won the same award in the Carolina League. The southpaw allowed just one unearned run over 11 2/3 innings, winning two games. The Astros made it a trifecta as Corpus Christi's Chance Douglass claimed the Texas League honors.
May 31 -- Troy Patton pitched seven strong innings as Corpus Christi edged the Arkansas Travelers, 5-4, to give the Hooks their 10th straight win, tying a franchise record.
May 31 -- Opening up a big night with an RBI triple in the first inning, Greenville's Chih-Hsien Chiang drove in five runs and finished a double shy of the cycle as the Drive outslugged the Hickory Crawdads, 10-7.
June 1 -- Salem won its 12th straight game with a 5-2 triumph over Wilmington. The Avalanche combined hot hitting and rock-solid pitching throughout the run, but saw it end the next night after an 11th-inning homer by the Blue Rocks' Kila Ka'aihue.

June 3 -- Salem's Joshua Flores won the Carolina League Offensive Player of the Week award after going 12-for-27 with a home run and eight RBIs.
June 3 -- Matt Albers of Round Rock struck out a season-high 10 batters in the first complete game of his career as the Express edged the Sacramento River Cats, 3-2. Albers surrendered two runs -- one earned -- on eight hits and two walks as he went the distance for the first time in 102 career Minor League starts.
June 3 -- Corpus Christi's Noochie Varner homered and drove in five runs to power the Hooks to a 15-3 rout of the Springfield Cardinals in the first game of a doubleheader. Two days later, Varner would go deep twice to lead a six-homer assault as the Hooks defeated the Midland RockHounds, 9-4.
June 4 -- For the second week in a row, Chance Douglass of Corpus Christi was named the Pitcher of the Week in the Texas League, but this time he had to share the honors with Amalio Diaz of the Arkansas Travelers (Angels). The two pitchers faced off during the week and brewed up a quintessential pitchers' duel, each tossing nine shutout innings before the Hooks manufactured a run in the 11th to walk off with a 1-0 victory.
June 9 -- Corpus Christi's Ronnie Martinez took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and settled for a two-hitter as the Hooks shut down the San Antonio Missions, 5-0. The right-hander struck out nine and walked one, helping lock up the Texas League Pitcher of the Week award.
June 9 -- Raymar Diaz of Salem allowed one hit over eight innings before tiring in the ninth, as the Avalanche rolled to an 8-3 victory over the Lynchburg Hillcats. Diaz won his third straight decision but fell one out short of the first complete game of his five-year career.
June 11 -- Greenville hurlers Ryan Phillips and Daniel Bard combined on a rain-shortened no-hitter, as the Drive defeated the Kannapolis Intimidators, 5-0, in six innings.
June 12 -- Myrtle Beach's Jairo Cuevas held the Salem Avalanche hitless for eight innings as the Pelicans hung on for a 2-1 victory. Cuevas gave up one run on one hit and fanned seven, retiring 10 consecutive batters heading to the ninth.

June 13 -- Salem's Brad James allowed one hit over six innings as the Avalanche shut down the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 6-1, in the first game of a doubleheader. Earlier in the season (April 9) James had limited Potomac to one hit in six innings, earning the win in the 8-0 contest as two relievers held the Nationals hitless over the final three innings.

June 14 -- Jonathan Still, Josh Reddick and Reid Engel of Greenville combined for six home runs and eight RBIs in powering the Drive past the Columbus Catfish, 11-5. Later in the season (July 23), Reddick homered twice and tied a franchise record with six RBIs as the Drive beat the Savannah Sand Gnats, 8-2.
June 21 -- Todd Self and Beau Torbert each drove in four runs to lead Corpus Christi past Frisco, 11-6.
June 23 -- Philip Barzilla tossed a six-hitter for his first complete game of the season Saturday as the Round Rock Express beat the Nashville Sounds, 6-1.
June 26 -- Juan Gutierrez took a no-hitter into the seventh inning Wednesday as the Round Rock Express held on for a 3-2 victory over the Memphis Redbirds.
June 28 -- Mitch Einertson tied a career high with five RBIs -- nearly three years to the day he first did it -- to lift Salem past visiting Winston-Salem, 10-6.
July 17 -- Lexington's Nicolas Moresi went 5-for-5 to lead the Legends to a 9-8 victory over Hagerstown in 10 innings. Moresi had hit safely in seven consecutive at-bats.
July 17 -- Francisco Carballo of Corpus Christi slugged a walk-off two-run homer in the ninth inning to lift the Hooks to a 10-8 win over Midland. Not to be outdone, teammate Ray Sadler smacked a three-run game-winner a night later to cap a 6-3 victory over the RockHounds.

July 26 -- Jordan Parraz hit for the first cycle in Lexington Legends history in a 14-innings loss to Lakewood, 6-5. It was the first cycle of Parraz's career.

July 28 -- David Qualben of Lexington worked seven hitless innings as the Legends shut down the Lakewood BlueClaws, 4-1, in the completion of a suspended game.
Aug. 1 -- Round Rock's Cody Ransom homered twice and drove in a season-high five runs as the Express beat the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, 9-5. Ransom would hit .407 with five homers and 13 RBIs on the week, earning him Pacific Coast League Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Aug. 13 -- Corpus Christi reliever Josh Miller took home the Texas League Pitcher of the Week award after striking out nine without issuing a walk over 8 1/3 scoreless innings.
Aug. 15 -- Drew Sutton of Corpus Christi stole home on the back-end of a double swipe during a 7-3 win over the Arkansas Travelers.
Aug. 23 -- Salem's Chris Johnson bashed two homers and plated a career-high six runs to power the Avalanche to a 19-4 win over the Frederick Keys. Johnson kept the power on, riding a .900 slugging percentage to the Carolina League Offensive Player of the Week award. The Avalanche third baseman went 7-for-20 with three home runs and 10 RBIs during the stretch.

Aug. 27 -- Thomas Vessella of Tri-City took a no-hitter into the seventh inning as the ValleyCats edged the Aberdeen IronBirds, 2-1. Not to be outdone, the ValleyCats' Carlos Ladeuth took the mound the next night and came within four outs of a no-no, as Tri-City blanked the Vermont Lake Monsters, 7-0.
Aug. 29 -- Salem locked up a postseason berth as Billy Hart went 5-for-7 and stroked an RBI double in the 14th inning of the Avalanche's 7-3 win over the Northern Division-leading Wilmington Blue Rocks. Hart would take home Carolina League Offensive Player of the Week honors after going 13-for-25.

Aug. 28 -- Corpus Christi's Ray Sadler belted two home runs and matched a career high with five RBIs as the Hooks edged the Frisco RoughRiders, 7-6.

Sept. 5 -- Salem cruised to a 10-3 victory over Kinston in Game 1 in the first round of the Carolina League playoffs. Two days later, Pat Osborn's RBI double capped a two-run eighth as the Avalanche edged the Indians, 5-3, to win the Carolina League Southern Division championship.

Sept. 9 -- Tim Torres belted a three-run homer as Salem stormed back for an 8-4 victory over Frederick that evened the Carolina League Finals at one win apiece. Two days later, Salem fell to Frederick, 5-1, as Chorye Spoone tossed his second straight complete game and second series clincher to give the Keys the Mills Cup.
