Dayton Evens Series
The Dragons plated two unearned runs in the bottom of the first inning, taking advantage of two throwing errors by Loons infielders Jesus Arredondo and Pedro Guerrero.
The Loons pulled to within a run in the top of the second on a sacrifice fly by Pedro Guerrero.
Dayton answered the Loons' run with two of their own in the bottom of the second on a long two-run home run by Sean Buckley.
The Dragons carried their 4-1 lead into the top of the fifth when O'Koyea Dickson lined a shot off the right field foul poll for a game-tying three-run home run.
But the Dragons got a sacrifice fly from Yovan Gonzalez in the bottom of the fifth to put the Dragons up by one. They added to their lead in the seventh on an infield ground out by Gonzalez.
Dayton had the leadoff man on in every inning sans the sixth.
Gustavo Gomez (4-3) was charged with the loss, surrendering three earned runs over 5 2/3 innings. Tanner Robles (3-3) picked up the win despite allowing four earned runs in five innings. Kyle McMyne worked a 1-2-3 ninth for his second save.
