Storm Chasers Beat the Bees on Wednesday, 5-2.

PAPILLION, Neb. - The Omaha Storm Chasers snapped their three-game Werner Park losing streak with a 5-2 triumph over the Salt Lake Bees on Wednesday night. Right fielder David Lough went 1-for-4 with a run scored and secured his spot in Omaha baseball history, as he snagged his 29th career triple in an Omaha uniform to secure his spot as the all-time leader in triples in Storm Chasers/Royals history.

Young guns Jake Odorizzi (1-0) and Wil Myers also played key roles in Wednesday's win. Odorizzi pitched extremely well, allowing a lone run in his 6.0 innings on the mound to earn the first Triple-A victory of his career.

Meanwhile, Myers went 2-for-4 at the dish and connected for a mammoth solo home run in the eighth inning. The homer came a day after slugging his first career Triple-A bomb. Omaha (28-19) grabbed a 1-0 advantage in the bottom of the second thanks to a solo shot by Clint Robinson. The power surge continued as shortstop Tony Abreu hit a two-run jack in the third.

The Bees (25-22) tallied a run in the top of the fourth on a sacrifice fly to cut the Chasers lead to 3-1. The Salt Lake offense picked up again in the eighth when the Bees scored an unearned run against reliever Francisley Bueno.

Myers' retaliated in the next half inning with his solo home run and second baseman Anthony Seratelli singled in Lough, who had tripled before him, to give the Storm Chasers a 5-2 lead.

Tommy Hottovy worked the ninth inning to slam the door on the Bees and pick up his second save of 2012.
