Rangers to play at 'The Brick'
An exclusive presale of "All You Can Eat Seats" for the game will go on sale Monday, Dec. 17 at 11 a.m., with the entire stock of tickets available to the public Tuesday, Dec. 18. Tickets can be purchased at the RedHawks' box office at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark Monday-Sunday beginning at 11 a.m., online at www.oklahomaredhawks.com, by calling 405-218-1000 or 1-866-MY-TICKET.
"We're excited to welcome the Texas Rangers and Chicago White Sox to Oklahoma City for a major league exhibition game," said RedHawks co-owner and managing partner Scott Pruitt. "We at the RedHawks believe in big league baseball and feel this game will be a great precursor to the 2008 RedHawks season."
"This year we are introducing the All You Can Eat Seat to every regular-season RedHawks game," Pruitt said. "The exhibition game will be our first offering of these unique and limited seats. Only three sections on the third base line will be designated for the All You Can Eat Seat, so we're making them available early through a presale since they are sure to go fast. What a better way to experience baseball. We take the guesswork out of purchasing tickets and food for a family. Just one price and you have a great seat and all the food you desire."
The White Sox won the World Series in 2005 and feature former Oklahoma State quarterback and Stillwater native Josh Fields, and one of baseball's most colorful managers in Ozzie Guillen.
The Rangers are the parent club of the Oklahoma RedHawks and boast many former RedHawks. Michael Young, American League batting champion in 2005 and All-Star Game MVP in 2006, and two-time All-Star Hank Blalock anchor the left side of Texas' infield with 2005 RedHawk Ian Kinsler established as the Rangers' second baseman.
All You Can Eat Seats will be sold for the pre-season game at $40 (for one) or four for $150. They're located on the third base line in sections 100, 101 and 102 and include unlimited popcorn, soda, peanuts, hot dogs, nachos and cotton candy.
Regular ticket prices for Rangers-White Sox are as follows: $50 club level, $35 field box, $30 field bleacher, $25 terrace reserved, $20 general admission and standing room only. RedHawks season ticket holders receive their seats for the major league game as part of their package.
The Oklahoma RedHawks' regular season begins Thursday, April 3 at The Brick against the Memphis Redbirds.
