CORPUS CHRISTI - Meet former Astros all-star Jeff Kent at Whataburger Field Wednesday between 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Kent will chat with fans and sign autographs behind Section 119 at the top of the ballpark's grand staircase.

Kent hit .290 in a 17-year major league career with the Blue Jays, Mets, Indians, Giants, Astros and Dodgers. He finished with 2,461 hits, 560 doubles, 377 home runs and 1,518 RBIs. Kent's on-base percentage was .356 and he slugged .500.

In 49 postseason games, Kent batted .276/9/23. He was National League MVP in 2000 with San Francisco and won Silver Slugger honors at second base in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2005. Kent earned all-star selections in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2004 and 2005.

He is baseball's all-time leader in home runs by a second baseman.
