2008 Florida State League Schedule is Released

JUPITER, FL - Roger Dean Stadium released the 2008 Florida State League schedules for both the Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals. The schedule features 140 games of top notch family fun that offers something for everyone. The Minor League Baseball season opens with the Cardinals taking on the Hammerheads Thursday, April 3rd at 7:05 p.m. at Roger Dean Stadium.

The highlight of the schedule will once again be Independence Holiday fireworks on back-to-back nights. On July 3rd the Hammerheads will take on the Brevard County Manatees. On July 4th the Cardinals will also battle the Manatees. Both games will begin at 6:05 p.m. and will be followed by spectacular fireworks displays. As a bonus to fans, both nights are included in every ticket package available for the season. In addition to the 3rd and 4th, the stadium will also feature fireworks on April 4th, June 6th, and August 29th.

The 2008 is in the works and will feature many past staples of Minor League Baseball at Roger Dean Stadium, including Special Giveaways, the Knothole Gang Kids Club (every Tuesday Night), Dog Days of Summer (one Saturday each month), Education Day (April 16th, 23rd, May 1st, 8th, 14th, and 21st) , and Wet & Wild Recreation Days (June 12th, July 10th, and 23rd).

Some exciting new additions this season include the zany act BirdZerk on April 19th, Sunday night games during the summer (June - August), and special ticket offers for children (14 years and under). Beginning June 1st, Sunday game time will be 6:05 p.m. and the gates will open 90 minutes early for fans to play catch on the field.

The season concludes on Sunday, August 31st with the Hammerheads taking on the Daytona Cubs.

Full season tickets (140 games) are on-sale for $375 for individuals or $900 for 4 tickets as a corporate/family rate. Partial season tickets (70 games) are available for either team for $250. Seniors (62 years and older), Abacoa residents and 2008 Spring Training Season Ticket Holders can also receive special discounted rates. Single game tickets are $8.50 for adults, $6.50 for seniors and will go on sale on Saturday, January 26th at Roger Dean Stadium's FunFest.
