Royals Host Two Fireworks Nights during Opening Weekend in Burlington
Friday night is Opening Night and Health & Wellness Night, presented Alamance Regional Medical Center. Gates open at 6:00, and first pitch is at 7:00. Come early to receive your FREE 2012 Burlington Royals magnet schedule. Then, spend some time on our concourse for our Health & Wellness Fair, and stick around after the game for our post-game fireworks, put on by East Coast Pyrotechnics.
Saturday is LabCorp Night at the Ballpark. Gates will open at 4:30, and a special LabCorp employees softball game will take place on the field at 5:00, before the Royals game begins at 7:00. The first 1,000 fans will get a FREE drink tumbler, courtesy of LabCorp, and the night will conclude with the second straight night of post-game fireworks.
Capping off Opening Weekend will be Sunday's Schools Night at the Ballpark, with a 6:00 game. All ABSS and local private school students have received a free ticket to the night's game, and anyone who brings school supplies to donate to Alamance Citizens for Education will receive a half-priced ticket.
Games on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are fans' first chance to test out some of the Royals' new weekly specials. All games are at 7:00, with gates opening at 6:00 against the Bluefield Blue Jays. Monday is the summer's first Piedmont Ale House Mug Madness Monday. You can purchase a collectible 22 oz. souvenir mug filled with your favorite draft beer for just $5, and get $2 refills for the remainder of the game and at every other Monday home game this season. Tuesday is Alamance Eye Center T-Shirt Tuesday, and the first 300 fans will get a free t-shirt. Wrapping up the homestand, Wednesday is Golden Corral Kids-Eat-Free Night. The first 50 children ages 12 and under get a free boxed meal, courtesy of Golden Corral. Also, the first 200 kids get a FREE Royals Superhero Cape.
