Budweiser, Express Honor Our Military

In celebration of Independence Day, the Round Rock Express and Budweiser are teaming up to salute all branches of the military and their many veterans. The "Red, White and Blue Salute" homestand will be honoring our military Wednesday, June 27 through Tuesday, July 3 at The Dell Diamond.

This summer, Budweiser is continuing their 100+ year commitment to the brave men and women of the U.S. armed forces by partnering with the Folds of Honor Foundation. Through scholarships and other assistance, the Folds of Honor Foundation gives back to the spouses and children of servicemen and women killed or disabled in service to our country.

In addition to the national fundraising efforts, here in Central Texas, the local Budweiser distributor, Brown Distributing Company is working with their partners throughout the community to help make some local military families lives a little brighter. In honor of their 50th Anniversary, Brown Distributing has a goal of raising $50,000 for the Folds of Honor Foundation during 2012, with all of these funds benefiting military families in Central Texas. A portion of the sales from every Budweiser sold in Central Texas, April through September, will be donated to the Foundation.

By partnering with another great supporter of our military, the Round Rock Express, Budweiser and Brown Distributing are bringing their fundraising efforts to the ballpark. For every Round Rock Express homerun during the 2012 season, Brown Distributing will be donating $50.00 to Folds of Honor.

During the homestand leading up to the Fourth of July, Budweiser will have a variety of "Red, White, and Blue" activities dedicated to our troops at The Dell Diamond. Wednesday, June 27 through Saturday, June 30, will feature a pregame Budweiser tailgate party in the parking lot in front of the stadium. The public is encouraged to visit the tailgate for games, complimentary photo booth, and to purchase Folds of Honor branded merchandise.

On Friday, June 29, the Folds of Honor Foundation will be featured as the Chasco Community Partner of the game, with Folds of Honor recipient Ms. Sarah White, speaking on behalf of the Foundation and throwing out the first pitch.

Budweiser will also be helping to make history at The Dell Diamond on Friday, June 29, with their first ever organized stadium flip-card salute. With the help of everyone in the stands and approximately 7,000 sheets of paper, "FOLDS OF HONOR" will be spelled out across the seats of The Dell Diamond, to help salute our military and bring awareness to the Foundation. The Round Rock Express are encouraging all ticket holders for this game to ensure their seats are filled by the end of the fourth inning.
