Mets Release Spring Training Broadcast Schedule

FLUSHING -- The New York Mets today announced their 2008 Spring Training broadcast schedule which features 16 telecasts on SportsNet New York (SNY) and CW11-WPIX TV as well as 11 games on SportsRadio 66 WFAN and WADO (1280 AM). In addition, ESPN will broadcast three Mets games nationally.

The SNY broadcast schedule of 12 games begins Friday, Feb. 29 when the Mets host the St. Louis Cardinals in their Grapefruit League home opener at Tradition Field in Port St. Lucie, Fla. CW11 will televise four weekend games starting Saturday, March 1 when the Mets face the Los Angeles Dodgers.

ESPN will broadcast three Mets games, including Major League Baseball's Civil Rights Game Saturday, March 25 when the Mets meet the Chicago White Sox in Memphis.

WFAN's first of eight radio broadcasts airs Saturday, March 1 and WADO will carry three games in Spanish starting Saturday, March 15 when the Mets play the Cardinals.
