Bonilla, Castro Added to All-Star Classic
(Reading, Pa.)---In conjunction with the Eastern League, the Reading Phillies have announced a number of changes to the Eastern Division and Western Division rosters for the Baseballtown All-Star Classic. The Baseballtown All-Star Classic will be played at FirstEnergy Stadium on Wednesday, July 11 at 7:05 p.m.
In the Eastern Division, Reading Phillies outfielder Leandro Castro, Trenton Thunder outfielder Melky Mesa and New Hampshire Fisher Cats third baseman Mark Sobolewski have been added to the roster in place of Trenton's Abraham Almonte, Cody Johnson and Kevin Mahoney, who are unable to play in the game due to injury. There will also be three pitchers, Reading Phillies right-hander Lisalverto Bonilla, Binghamton Mets right-hander Armando Rodriguez and New Britain Rock Cats right-hander Daniel Turpen, added to the Eastern Division roster.Those three are taking the place of New Britain's Andrew Albers, who is unable to pitch due to injury, and Reading's Julio Rodriguez and Binghamton's Zack Wheeler, who are unable pitch due to their participation in the MLB Future's Game.
On the Western Division side Altoona Curve right-hander Victor Black and Harrisburg Senators right-hander Hector Nelo are being added to the roster in place of Altoona's Brandon Cumpton and Harrisburg's Danny Rosenbaum, who are both unavailable to pitch in the game.
