Ramsey, was selected in the 22nd round of 2011 Amateur Draft by the Minnesota Twins, but elected to return to school. The Alpharetta, GA native, finished his senior season with a conference-best .378 average, .513 on-base percentage and 78 runs scored, while hitting 13 homers and starting all 67 of Florida State's games.

In a corresponding move, the Palm Beach Cardinals have sent LHP Nick Gillung to Johnson City to resume his work as a starting pitcher. Gillung made eight appearances for the Cardinals, posting a 1-3 record with a 3.97 ERA. He made two starts, but had been working from the pen before he was sent down.
