Coulombe Promoted to Low-A, Raptors Get Garcia

Raptors left-handed pitcher Daniel Coulombe was promoted to Low-A Great Lakes Monday.

The former Texas Tech Red Raider pitched six innings in three relief appearances with the Raptors. He allowed three hits and two runs, one earned, for a 1.50 ERA. He struck out eight batters and walked just one.

In the 25th round pick's professional debut, Coulombe struck out the side against Grand Junction on June 20.

The same day the Raptors lose Coulombe, they add right-handed pitcher Alan Garcia. Garcia was promoted to the Raptors from the AZL Dodgers.

The Azusa Pacific product was drafted in the 22nd round of the 2012 Draft. Garcia had no record and an ERA of 6.00 with the AZL Dodgers. In two relief appearance, one resulting in a save, Garcia allowed two runs on two hits in three innings, striking out four.
