1420 KOTK to broadcast Royals
"We are pleased to continue our partnership with such a community-oriented organization as Salem Radio Omaha," said Royals General Manager Martie Cordaro. "And we're also excited to have Mark Nasser and Kevin McNabb back as our broadcast team for the eighth consecutive season."
Nasser has been the Royals Director of Broadcasting since 2001. The upcoming season will mark his 15th season as an announcer in professional baseball. Prior to coming to Omaha, he called games for the Wilmington (DE) Blue Rocks, the Portland (ME) Sea Dogs and the Burlington (NC) Indians.
McNabb will again be Nasser's broadcast partner for the Royals 72 home games. The 2008 season marks his 15th year on-air with the Royals and 19th in professional baseball. Before returning to his hometown in 1994, he called games for the Jacksonville (FL) Suns, Columbus (GA) Indians and Colorado Springs (CO) Sky Sox.
Salem Radio Omaha includes News Talk 1420 KOTK, 100.7 FM KGBI and 660 AM KCRO, Omaha's Christian Talk. The Royals 2008 season opener is set for Rosenblatt Stadium on Thursday, April 3 at 7:05 p.m. vs. the Albuquerque Isotopes.
