BlueClaws to play at Citizens Bank Park

November 21, 2005
LAKEWOOD, N.J. -- The Lakewood BlueClaws, Class A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, will make history by playing a regular-season game at Citizens Bank Park on May 15 at 7:05 p.m.

The BlueClaws will play host to the Delmarva Shorebirds as they take the field for the first time at the parent club's park.

"This game will be quite a thrill for fans and players alike," said Geoff Brown, BlueClaws general manager. "Every player aspires to take the field in Philadelphia one day, and they'll get that chance this season. Our fans will love the trip because its been planned with them in mind."

Fans will have numerous individual ticket and group outing opportunities for the game at Citizens Bank Park. Field level seating will be available for $14 per ticket and Diamond Club seating will be available for $20 per ticket. Groups of 20 or more will be available for $10 per ticket for field level seating and $16 per ticket for Diamond Club level seating.

Bus packages that include dinner at Bull's BBQ and a tour of Citizens Bank Park will be announced as soon as plans are finalized.

This game is taking place in lieu of the previously scheduled April 16 contest at FirstEnergy Park.

Full-season (including this game) and partial plan tickets for the 2006 BlueClaws' season are on sale now. The BlueClaws drew 444,607 during their Fifth Anniversary season and welcomed the team's 2-millionth fan, doing so faster than any other South Atlantic League and New Jersey professional baseball team.

Lakewood will open the home 2006 season April 13 against Delmarva at 6:35 p.m. For tickets or more information, call (732) 901-7000 or visit the BlueClaws' website at http://www.blueclaws.com.
