M-Braves Announce 2013 Schedule

Double-A Braves set to open April 4, 2013 against the Mobile BayBears

PEARL, MS-The Mississippi Braves open the 2013 season on April 4 against the Mobile BayBears for a five-game series. 2013 will mark the ninth season of the Double-A Mississippi Braves at Trustmark Park and will once again feature 70 home and 70 road games.

During April, the M-Braves will take the field at home against two teams, the Mobile BayBears and the Jackson Generals. Each homestand will feature five-game series against both teams.

May begins with a five-game homestand against the Tennessee Smokies, followed by a ten-game homestand featuring two five-game series. The first part of the ten-game homestand begins on May 12 against the Huntsville Stars, and the second series against the Jacksonville Suns begins on May 17. Rounding out the month of May is a five-game set against the Montgomery Biscuits which concludes on June 1.

On June 7, the Braves will return home, after a road stint against the Chattanooga Lookouts, to face the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. Afterwards, the Braves will go on the road for a five-game series against the Tennessee Smokies which will wrap up the first half of the season on June 17. The second half will begin with the Braves facing the Birmingham Barons on June 19 and will end the month at home against the BayBears.

After an Independence Day road series, the Braves will return to Trustmark Park to host a series against Chattanooga from July 10 through 14 and will face Pensacola and Montgomery for a ten-game stint to end the month of July.

August will feature the last two homestands of the season beginning with a series against Jackson. The M-Braves will play their last home series against Huntsville which will conclude on Tuesday, August 27.

The M-Braves last regular season game will take place on Labor Day, September 2, at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville to take the mound against the South Division rival, the Jacksonville Suns.
