Drive award ballpark naming rights

February 26, 2008
Greenville, S.C. -- The Greenville Drive and Fluor Corporation, one of the world's largest publicly traded engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance services companies, announced today that the team's award-winning ballpark, West End Field, will be renamed Fluor Field as part of a corporate partnership between the two organizations.

Dwayne Wilson, group president of Fluor's Industrial and Infrastructure business, and Craig Brown, Drive president and co-owner, issued a joint statement saying, "Our decision to establish this partnership is an outgrowth of our individual commitments to Greenville and the Upstate, and our mutual interests in seeing this community continue to develop as a world-class place to live, work and enjoy life."

Fluor Field's newly designed logo and signage have been approved by both organizations and will read, "Fluor Field at the West End" to maintain the ballpark's highly acclaimed compatibility with the neighborhood's historic character and its identification with the vibrant economic revitalization of Downtown Greenville. The newly designed Fluor Field logo and signage is scheduled to be ready for the 2008 Season Opening Weekend, April 3-6.

Wilson commented on Fluor's South Carolina history, saying, "Fluor and our growing family of Greenville-based employees have a rich heritage of contributing to this community's social and economic prosperity. Our association with the Drive and corresponding commitment to the quality of life in Greenville is a testimony to Fluor's values and commitment to the places where our employees live and work. Fluor Field will be a source of pride for all of our employees."

Brown noted, "We are extremely pleased to be partnered with a company of Fluor's stature, with whom we share many core values in terms of quality, family and community. The results-oriented culture they have created as a 'company that delivers' is one that resonates with the Drive and our mission to provide a uniquely enjoyable and memorable experience for our customers."

Brown added, "We're excited about the opportunities Fluor Field will provide to help Fluor attract, recognize and reward the great employees who are key to their continued growth and success."

The Fluor/Drive relationship includes the naming of the ballpark, signage and logo representation, opportunities for Fluor to host company and community events at Fluor Field, plus other sponsorship activation initiatives.

Brown underscored the importance of this development to the Drive's ongoing commitment to continuous improvement of the ballpark experience for all fans. "From the initial construction of the ballpark in 2006, to the popular enhancements that were made in 2007, our expanded relationship with Fluor represents a significant step forward in the ownership group's ability and determination to create the very best Professional Baseball operation and family entertainment experience there is, anywhere!"

Drive ticket plans, accommodations, and group outings for the 2008 season are currently on sale and can be ordered by calling the Drive at (864) 240-4500.
