Royals announce promo schedule
On Saturday, April 26th, the first 1,500 fans to the Royals 7:05 p.m. game vs. Nashville will receive a Rosenblatt Stadium replica made to scale, presented by Coca-Cola. The retro Royals cap giveaway features the Royals crown logo worn by the team from 1996-1998 and will go to the first 1,500 fans on Saturday, April 5th, at 7:05 p.m. vs. Albuquerque, courtesy of Werner Enterprises. The Royals 40th scheduled home game - on Sunday, June 29th at 1:35 p.m. vs. Oklahoma - will feature Royals players wearing replica jerseys from the club's inaugural 1969 season, which will be auctioned off following the game to benefit charity. As previously announced, the Royals will have a series of four player statue giveaways on Saturdays throughout the season.
Fans will also enjoy new days-of-the-week promotions. Monday nights will feature $1 hot dogs. $2 Tuesdays allow fans to buy a General Admission ticket, normally priced at $6, for $2 - plus a different concession item will be on sale for $2 each Tuesday, courtesy of ValPak. Kids Eat Free on Wednesdays, with all kids 12-and-under receiving a free meal voucher for each game ticket purchased, presented by Subway. The Royals eleven Thursday night home games will again be billed as "Thirsty Thursdays", when fans will enjoy $1 beers and Cokes during the game, plus live music afterwards presented by Two Fine Irishmen. Werner Enterprises will again present Friday Fireworks and Family FUNdays on Sundays will be brought to you this season by U.S. Bank. The Royals five 12:05 p.m. games will again feature half-price burgers, courtesy of Omaha Steaks.
The annual Independence Day celebration this season will be held on Friday, July 4th. BirdZerk! will perform during the 6:35 p.m. game vs. Memphis, with the Fireworks Spectacular afterwards presented by the Omaha World-Herald, the City of Omaha and the Omaha Royals. Two weeks later, on Friday, July 18th, the Royals 7:05 p.m. game vs. Round Rock will be followed by fireworks and a concert by a country music artist (name to be announced soon), courtesy of Werner Enterprises.
