Fisher Cats Promote Jenna Raizes to Director Position

July 24, 2012
MANCHESTER, N.H. - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A Eastern League Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, announced that senior public affairs manager Jenna Raizes has been promoted to Director of Marketing and Public Affairs.

"Jenna has been a great addition to our Fisher Cats family since her arrival in January," said Fisher Cats president Rick Brenner.  "She as proven herself organized, talented, and smart, and has tremendous vision for the future for herself and the Fisher Cats."

Raizes joined the Fisher Cats public affairs department after serving in an event and sponsorship coordinator role with the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Manchester.  She also worked in corporate marketing and sponsorship at the University of New Hampshire for Wildcat Sports Properties, a property of Learfield Sports.

"I have really enjoyed my experience with the Fisher Cats since joining the team this winter," said Raizes, a native Weimar, Texas.  "The team has a really strong foundation in the community and I look forward to growing the relationships and programs that exist while creating new, exciting ones for the future."

Raizes will continue her work on current projects with the Fisher Cats and the Fisher Cats Foundation, including the 2012 Granite State Baseball Dinner presented by Northeast Delta Dental on Saturday, November 17 at the Radisson Hotel Expo Center in Manchester.

Raizes is no rookie when it comes to diamond-based sports.  She received bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Memphis in 2006 and 2007.  While at the university, she pitched for the Tigers' softball team, compiling a 37-24 record and 401 strikeouts in two seasons with the team.

The Fisher Cats return home for a six-game stand on Tuesday, July 31, with Fire Fighter Appreciation Night.  Following the lead of Bank of New Hampshire, which donated $1,000, the Fisher Cats will donate 50% of $10 and $12 ticket sales to the Muscular Dystrophy Association when fans mention 'MDA' or 'FIREFIGHTERS' at the ticket window.  The first 1,000 kids will receive a stress reliever fire truck courtesy of Bank of New Hampshire.  For tickets and a full list of promotions for the homestand, visit www.nhfishercats.com.
