Single Game Tickets on Sale Saturday

OMAHA, NE - With Opening Day just 27 days from today, the Omaha Royals announce that single-game tickets for the team's 2008 season go on sale Saturday, March 15th. On the 15th, tickets may be purchased at Rosenblatt Stadium from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., or by calling the Royals ticket office at (402) 738-5100. They will also be available online at www.oroyals.com and at www.Etix.com.

This event will mark the first time tickets will be on sale for the Royals annual Independence Day celebration. It will be held on Friday, July 4th, with a 6:35 p.m. game vs. Memphis followed by the fireworks spectacular, courtesy of the Omaha World-Herald, the City of Omaha and the Omaha Royals.

On the 15th, Royals season ticket holders will be able to pick up their tickets and Royal Treasures, the team's merchandise and souvenir store, will be open. There will also be inflatable games for kids, free Klement's brats and Cokes, and complimentary coffee and doughnuts courtesy of Krispy Kreme.

"If you are thinking about buying a Royals ticket package, come out to select your seats and enjoy lunch," said Royals General Manager Martie Cordaro.

The Royals are holding single-game ticket prices for most home games steady for the fifth consecutive season: $10 for Field Box seats, $8 for Reserved and $6 for General Admission.

The Royals will open their Pacific Coast League season at Rosenblatt Stadium on Thursday, April 3rd with a 7:05 p.m. game vs. the Albuquerque Isotopes. Opening Night will be the first of eleven "Thirsty Thursday" games this season, with $1 beer and Cokes during the game, presented by The City Weekly and 96.1 The Brew. Following the game, fans will enjoy fireworks, courtesy of Werner Enterprises. Also, the first 2,500 fans will receive magnet schedules, courtesy of CarMax. Opening Night will be capped off by the live music of The Whipkey Three, presented by Two Fine Irishmen.
