The Sandlot 20th Anniversary Tour at Werner Park

OMAHA, Neb. - On Friday, August 10th, the Omaha Storm Chasers and Tully's Kennels will kick off The 20th Anniversary Sandlot Tour at Werner Park with special giveaways and meet-and-greets planned for that evening. Tickets to attend the very first stop on The 20th Anniversary Sandlot Tour can be had for $5.00 a piece or for $20.00 for a family of up to six. Gates are slated to open at 7 p.m. with the movie to be shown at 8 p.m.

"It has been a dream of mine to travel North America on tour with The Sandlot, and bring the film to as many fans as possible and what better venue to watch it then baseball fields?" asked the film's writer, director and narrator, David Mickey Evans. "With the 20th Anniversary of The Sandlot fast approaching, that dream is now a reality. I am thrilled that the very first event will be at Werner Park right smack in the middle of America where the film has always had its most enthusiastic fans."

Entering its 20th year, The Sandlot continues to entertain a second generation of fans. The film sells on average 1.5 million DVD's a year and has topped 15 million units sold.

All fans in attendance can meet Dan Zacapa, the actor who portrayed Officer Chief of Police Grandpa Squints, while groups that pre-book in advance can have a meet and greet with members of the cast and crew.
