Wang Roughed up in 7-2 Sens loss to Richmond
Brian Goodwin led the game off with a three-base error and scored on a single by Sean Nicol. James Skelton followed with a walk off Richmond starter Chris Heston, but a flyball out and a double-play ended the inning. Richmond scored a pair of runs in the second and three more in the third with three of the five runs scoring with two outs.
Harrisburg plated another run in the fifth when Goodwin doubled in Jonny Tucker cutting the Richmond lead to 5-2. The Flying Squirrels would come right back in the bottom of the fifth, scoring two runs with a pair of two-out hits. Johnny Monell had a single, double, and triple in the game for Richmond and drove in four runs while Juan Perez had a pair of run scoring hits.
Jimmy VanOstrand celebrated his 28th birthday with three hits for the Sens. Harrisburg falls to 55-61 with the loss.
Paul Demny, Jimmy Barthmaier, and Marcos Frias combined to toss 3.1 innings of scoreless relief while striking out eight and allowing no hits.
