51s Launch New Team Website Under MLBAM

December 15, 2005
LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, announced today that a new team website under Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) will be launched on Monday, Dec. 19, at Noon (PST). The team's website address will remain the same at www.lv51.com

The 51s new site joins the MiLB.com network, which was formed this past January when MLB Advanced Media and Minor League Baseball announced a major partnership agreement making MLBAM the exclusive provider of internet-related services and other interactive media services for the Minor Leagues.

The 10-year online agreement, which began in 2005, makes MLBAM exclusively responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of the official Minor League site, the web sites for each of the NAPBL (National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues) leagues and the web sites for the NAPBL teams that elect to participate in the new web site network. In addition, MLBAM has been selected as the official statistician for Minor League Baseball.

The 51s website will once again feature 51s press releases, 2006 promotions list, 2006 schedule, season ticket plans, ticketing, Cashman Field information, merchandising, team history, player roster, team statistics, PCL standings, league statistics, and MiLB.com news. The 144-game 51s schedule will be available on MiLB.com's live audio (located on the bottom of the 51s website) with play-by-play provided by Russ Langer. The 51s will broadcast all games during the 2006 season on FOX Sports Radio 1460-AM.

The "new" website will have a similar look to the 30 Major League Baseball teams on MLB.com.

The 51s will open their 24th PCL season on Thursday, April 6 against Fresno, at 7:05 p.m. at Cashman Field. Season tickets and mini-plan packages (10, 20, 33-game plans) are available by calling the 51s office at (702) 798-7825.
