Knights to Celebrate National Dog Day on Sunday
(Fort Mill, SC) - The Charlotte Knights are pleased to announce a special "Dog Day at the Ballpark" at Knights Stadium on Sunday, August 26 in celebration of "National Dog Day". Gates are set to open at 1:00 p.m. and fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the ballpark early on Sunday for a special pre-game on-field "Pooch Parade".
Founded in 2004, "National Dog Day" is observed annually on August 26. It honors dogs of all breeds and encourages pet owners to do something special for their dog.
Tickets for the 2:15 p.m. game against the Pawtucket Red Sox are available at the Knights Ticket Office located at Knights Stadium, online at www.charlotteknights.com, or by phone at 704-357-8071 (North Carolina) or 803-548-8050 (South Carolina). Special seating for owners and their dogs will be located in the Lower Level Reserved and Grass Berm sections of the stadium. Dogs are not permitted in the Field Box Area.
The Knights are also searching for talented dogs to be featured throughout the game. Fans interested in showing off their talented pup should send a YouTube video to Knights Media Relations Director, Tommy Viola at [email protected]. Fans can also send a photo of their dog to be featured in a pre-game slideshow on the in-stadium videoboard. Prizes will be given away for "Best in Show" on Sunday.
