Berkman to begin rehab stint in Memphis
MEMPHIS, TN - St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Lance Berkman is currently scheduled to begin his rehab stint with the Memphis Redbirds tomorrow, Friday, August 24. The six-time all-star and 2011 Comeback Player of the Year plans to play in Memphis for about a week. Berkman was placed on the 15-day disabled list August 12 with right knee inflammation.
The Redbirds are currently in their eleventh and final homestand of the season with a five-game series against Albuquerque and a four-game series against Omaha. There is a Redbirds hat giveaway on Friday, August 24, country music-themed fireworks on Saturday, August 25 and the World Series Trophy will be back at AutoZone Park from Friday, August 24 until Sunday, August 26.
