Sea Dogs unveil radio and television affiliates

NESN to provide live coverage of select Sea Dogs games

Portland, M.E. -- The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the World Champion Boston Red Sox, have announced their radio and television affiliates for the 2008 season.

WBAE 1490 AM "The Bay" continues to serve as the flagship station of the U.S. Cellular Portland Sea Dogs Radio Network. Three new radio affiliates have been added to the network in 2008; WRMO 93.7 FM in Milbridge, WMYF 1380 AM in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and WQSO 96.7 FM in Rochester, New Hampshire. The New England Sports Network (NESN) will once again provide live broadcasts of select Sea Dogs home games in 2008.

For the fourth season, AM 1490 and AM 1400 WBAE "THE BAY" will serve as the flagship station for U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network. WBAE features the "Songs You Remember" and is owned and operated by the Portland Radio Group.

With the addition of three new affiliates, the U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network expands to eight stations in 2008, creating the largest radio network in Double-A baseball. WRMO 93.7 FM in Washington County will allow fans in Eastern Maine including Bar Harbor and parts of Hancock County to listen to Sea Dogs baseball. The addition of two stations in New Hampshire and WRMO the U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network now stretches from Seacoast New Hampshire to the Eastern most point in Maine.

All 142 regular season games as well as any playoff games can be heard on the U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network with the Voice of the Sea Dogs Mike Antonellis. Mike returns for his fourth season with the Sea Dogs and his 12th season as play-by-play broadcaster in Minor League Baseball. Mike will be joined by Tom Gauthier who will host the pre and post-game shows. Network coverage begins 20 minutes prior to first pitch on all affiliates.

NESN will provide live coverage of select Sea Dogs games for the sixth season with two Sea Dogs broadcasts in 2008. The first televised game will be on Wednesday, May 28 at 6:00 PM when Portland takes on the Binghamton Mets live from Hadlock Field. NESN will return on Thursday, July 17 at 7:00 PM for live coverage of the Sea Dogs taking on the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, the Trenton Thunder.

The Portland Sea Dogs open their 15th season, presented by Northeast Delta Dental, on April 3 at New Britain. The home opener is slated for Friday, April 11 at 6:00 PM against the New Britain Rock Cats.
