A Thank You Letter from Mickey Morandini

August 31, 2012
BlueClaws fans,

With the 2012 season complete, I wanted to write this as a thank you to all of the great fans that came to the park this summer.

In traveling around the league and talking to many friends and colleagues in the game, the support the BlueClaws and their fans provide to our players, coaches and our families is truly second to none.

It could be 45 degrees in April or 95 in July and we'd always have a great crowd out there to cheer us on. That makes our jobs easier and is a real tribute to the fans here in New Jersey.

For our players to get to play in front of 6,000, 7,000 and 8,000 person crowds all season long was a great experience for them. That's not something that happens at every level. In many places, you're exhausted after getting back to the park at 8 am and there are just a few pockets of fans around the stadium, but here the crowd picks you up as soon as you take the field.

I had a wonderful time this summer here in Lakewood, and really enjoyed getting to meet so many great baseball fans. If you're down at Spring Training this year, please come up and say hello.

Thanks again for a great summer and thanks for your tremendous support.
