September 1, 2012
RENO, Nev.– A night after clinching a postseason berth, the Reno Aces won the Pacific North Division outright Friday night with a 7-2 victory over the Tucson Padres in the series opener at Aces Ballpark.

Wladimir Sutil drove in a season-high four runs, and Brent Clevlen homered in the seventh, as the Aces cruised to their second-straight victory. After the Padres jumped on the scoreboard first, Reno answered with three runs in the second inning and never trailed again.

The loss fell to Padres starter Andrew Cashner (0-1), who surrendered three runs on four hits through 4.0 frames.
