F.S.L. Championship Series Kicks Off Friday

Friday begins the best of five Florida State League Championship Series between the Lakeland Flying Tigers and Jupiter Hammerheads. Games 1 and 2 are in Jupiter before the series shifts back to Lakeland on Sunday for Game 3. Games 4 & 5 will be played on Monday and Tuesday if necessary at Joker Marchant Stadium.

Jupiter defeated St. Lucie in the South Division Championship Series in three games. Thursday night the Hammerheads closed out the series with an 11-7 victory in St. Lucie to advance to the Championship Series.

The Flying Tigers defeated the Hammerheads in four out of their six meetings this year. Lakeland won three out of four in Jupiter and split a doubleheader at Joker Marchant Stadium.
