TinCaps Announce Roster Moves: September 15th

The Fort Wayne TinCaps, in conjunction with the San Diego Padres, announced the following roster moves Saturday, September 15th:

OF Travis Jankowski placed on the disabled list. Jankowski, 21, was selected 44th overall out of Stony Brook University by the Padres in the 2012 draft. He joined the TinCaps on June 29th, and hit .282 with one home run and 23 RBI in 59 games. The Lancaster, PA, native stole 17 bases, and carried a 23-game hitting streak into his final game of the year on Thursday. The 23-game hitting streak is the longest in TinCaps history. Both Rymer Liriano (2011) and Blake Tekotte (2009) had 18-game hitting streaks during their time in Fort Wayne. During the playoffs, Jankowski hit .259 (7-28) in seven games.

INF Connor Powers reinstated from the disabled list. Powers, 24, had been on the disabled list since August 24. Since being transferred to Fort Wayne from Advanced-A Lake Elsinore on August 14th, he has hit .048 (1-21) in six games.

The Fort Wayne roster stands at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.
