Royals To Give Away Rosenblatt Stadium!
Saturday, April 19, 7:05 p.m.: Gates open at 5:00 p.m. for the series opener vs. New Orleans and the 1st 1,500 fans will receive a David Cone statue, courtesy of ExpressJet, 1620 The Zone, WOWT and The Reader! It's the 1st in a series of four Omaha player of the decade statues, with Cone having been voted as the fan's favorite O-Royal of the 1980's in an online poll at www.oroyals.com in the off-season. Fans will not only receive the individually hand-numbered statues of Cone as a collector's item, but the stadium will have a 1980's feel to it with 1980's music and other themes from the '80's during the night. After the game, all fans will be invited to take part in a paper airplane contest: the five fans who come closest to an on-field target win a round-trip airline ticket from ExpressJet!
Sunday, April 20, 1:35 p.m.: It's U.S. Bank Family FUNday, with clowns, face painting and balloon art, plus all kids are invited to run the bases after the game, also presented by KGBI-100.7 FM and KPTM-Fox 42. All Royals Kids Club members receive a free ticket to the game, courtesy of SUBWAY. It's also the first Outstanding Student Day, with three students from every classroom (PK-6) of each participating elementary school honored in a parade on the field prior to the game.
Monday, April 21, 6:35 p.m.: Enjoy $1 hot dogs, courtesy of 89.7 The River and The Daily Nonpareil! It's also Casey's Birthday! If a child brings a birthday card to the Rosenblatt ticket windows, they will receive a buy-one-get-one reserved seat for the game! There will also be a giant birthday card near the Coca-Cola Fun Zone for all kids to sign.
Tuesday, April 22, 11:05 a.m.: It's the 9th annual Cox Communications Home Run for Youth Day! Area schools were given tickets to the game, courtesy of Cox Communications! The game is also presented by 1110 KFAB and Strictly Business.
Thursday, April 24, 6:35 p.m.: Following an off-day on Wednesday, the Royals open a four-game series vs. Nashville. Come on out for Thirsty Thursday with $1 beers and Cokes during the game, courtesy of 96.1 The Brew, Action 3 News and The City Weekly. Enjoy live music after the game, with The Black Squirrels performing, presented by Two Fine Irishmen!
Friday, April 25, 7:05 p.m.: Werner Enterprises Fireworks follow the game, also presented by KAT 103, KETV and The City Weekly! It's also the first U.S. Cellular Dreams Come True night: a lucky fan who signed up at a U.S. Cellular store will be on the field for batting practice, throw out a ceremonial first pitch, assist in the press box during the game, and much more!
Saturday, April 26, 7:05 p.m.: The Royals will give away Rosenblatt Stadium! Stadium gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the 1st 1,500 fans receive a replica of Rosenblatt Stadium, courtesy of Coca-Cola, 1620 The Zone, WOWT and The Reader! The Rosenblatt Stadium replicas are made-to-scale and will definitely become a collector's item!
