Wrestling Under the Stars Saturday, Sept 22

The Hudson Valley Renegades and CRM Contracting present Northeast Wrestling's "Wrestling Under the Stars" at Dutchess Stadium, the home of the Hudson Valley Renegades this Saturday night, September 22nd. This family friendly event will begin at 7pm and is the biggest wrestling extravaganza in the history of the Hudson Valley. This historic evening will feature a special appearance by the one and only Hulk Hogan, WWE Hall of Famer Rowdy Roddy Piper, Matt Hardy, Lita, Mick Foley, Vader, Goldust, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart, The Beautiful People, New Windsor resident Bill Carr and so much more including the wrestling debut of former New York Yankee and Marlboro resident Joe Ausanio.

One of the greatest, most popular, and charismatic wrestlers of all time, Hulk Hogan is one of the men who helped parlay the world of professional wrestling from cult following into the forefront of American entertainment. This former multi time world champion, WWE Hall of Famer, actor and American Icon will be live at Dutchess Stadium this night making his last ever Hudson Valley appearance. Hulk will be signing autographs and meeting his fans during the preshow meet and greet along with a special in ring interview.

He will be joined by another WWE Hall of Famer Rowdy Roddy Piper. This will be the first time in ten years that the two men responsible for Wrestlemania have been on the same event. What will happen when these two long time rivals appear in the same arena, same locker room and possibly the same ring together? Fans will only find out by being there live.

From Pinstripes to the Squared Circle, Joe Ausanio is a former pitcher for the New York Yankees playing in pinstripes in 1994 and 1995. The former major leaguer graduated from Kingston High School and is a current resident of Marlboro. A wrestling fan his entire life, Joe will be making his wrestling debut on September 22nd as the tag team partner of WWE Superstar Jerry "The King" Lawler. He will follow in the footsteps of other New York Yankees. Babe Ruth was a special guest referee for a number of matches upon his retirement from baseball. Billy Martin was the special guest ring announcer for the main event in the first Wrestlemania and current Yankees centerfielder Curtis Granderson was a guest manager while playing with the Tigers. Joe is the first Yankee ever to step foot in the ring as a wrestler. He is currently the Director of Sales for the Hudson Valley Renegades and head softball coach for the Marist Red Foxes in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Northeast Wrestling is a Newburgh based wrestling promotion celebrating its seventeenth anniversary in business at this big event. It is one of the oldest wrestling promotions in the United States.

"Wrestling Under the Stars" will include seven big matches along with a special in ring interview with Hulk Hogan and promises to be a great night of entertainment that is suitable for the entire family. There will be a special fan "Meet and Greet" before the show with Hulk Hogan, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Lita, Matt Hardy, Vader, Joe Ausanio and all the stars beginning at 3:30pm. This is an opportunity for the fans to get autographs and pictures from all of their favorites.
