Redbirds' sweetheart deals help youth baseball

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Memphis Redbirds have a sweet deal for everyone's sweetheart this Valentine's Day. The Memphis Redbirds Baseball Foundation is offering two options for Redbirds fans and their loved ones this year for Valentine's Day.

The Base Hit package includes a dozen roses and four single-game ticket vouchers to Redbirds games for the 2006 season. The Base Hit package costs $40.

The Home Run package is delivered by Rockey the Redbird and includes a dozen roses, two 10-game Fan Plans and a Redbirds Gift Basket valued at $50. The cost is $200 for the Home Run package and availability is limited. All proceeds go to benefit the Memphis Redbirds Baseball Foundation.

Fans purchasing the Base Hit package will select from four pick-up sites in advance. The Backstop Baseball Emporium at AutoZone Park along with Cellular South stores at 4730 Poplar, 9245 Poplar and 200 Goodman Road will serve as the pick-up sites.
