Royals Name Bradshaw Minor League Hitting Coordinator

November 6, 2012
SPRINGDALE, AR- The Kansas City Royals have announced that former Naturals Hitting Coach, Terry Bradshaw, has been named the organization's minor league hitting coordinator.

"Terry has been an integral part in the success of our young minor league hitters as they have progressed through our system and reached Kansas City," said Royals Director of Player Development Scott Sharp. "He now will have the ability to positively impact our hitters throughout all levels of the organization."

Bradshaw has served as the Naturals hitting coach for the past four years. Prior to joining the Naturals Bradshaw spent five years as the Hitting Coach for Triple-A Omaha. The 43-year old Franklin, VA native previously spent four years as hitting coach for three of Kansas City's Class-A affiliates: Wilmington (2002-2003), Burlington (2001) and Charleston (2000).

Bradshaw began his professional playing career after he was a ninth round draft pick by St. Louis in 1990 and spent eight years playing in the Cardinals system, including two brief stops at the Major League level during the 1995 and 1996 seasons. In 65 major league at-bats over 34 games, the outfielder hit .262. The 2012 season will be the fifth in the Texas League for Bradshaw (four as a coach, one as a player). He was a member of the 1994 Arkansas Travelers, where he earned a spot on the league's post-season All-Star team.

The Naturals open up the 2013 season at Arvest Ballpark on April 4th and have the honor of hosting the Texas League All-Star Game on June 25th. For tickets visit www.nwanaturals.com or call (479) 927-4900.
