Grand Junction Rockies release 2013 schedule

(Grand Junction, CO) - The Pioneer League baseball schedule has been approved by the league officials, team general managers and affiliated major league clubs for the 2013 season.

The Grand Junction Rockies on Monday released their 76-game schedule which opens June 20, with a two game home-stand against the defending South Division Champion, Ogden Raptors at Suplizio Field in Grand Junction. Special opening day festivities and giveaways will highlight the day.

The schedule features 38 home games, including a three game series against defending Pioneer League Champion Missoula Osprey, August 21-23. The Rockies will play 76 games in 81 days, with five off days. All Monday-Saturday home games will begin at 7:05pm, while Sunday game times have been moved to 4:00pm starts. A special Fireworks game will highlight the Labor Day weekend on Sunday, September 1, vs. Ogden. To accommodate the fireworks show, game time will be moved to 6:30pm.
