Snappers Add to Front Office Staff
Czaja is a veteran front-office employee with 17 years of experience in professional baseball. He spent the last 11 seasons with the independent Rockford RiverHawks in multiple roles, including Director of Broadcasting, Sales and Media Relations. Czaja was a finalist for BallparkDigest.com's Broadcaster of the Year award in 2011. He also worked for MLB-affiliated clubs in Missoula, Mont., Burlington, N.C. and Huntington, W.Va. and independent teams in Johnstown, Pa. and Lubbock, Texas. Czaja is a Michigan native and a graduate of Eastern Michigan University. He lives in Loves Park with his wife Pamela and Max the cat. He is an active member of the Pitch and Hit Club of Chicago.
Ricketts
is entering his first
season as the Snappers head groundskeeper. He will be in charge
of making
sure the field is maintained at a professional level. Prior to
joining
the Snappers, Zach had internships in the Midwest league with the
Burlington
Bees and in the Major leagues with the Boston Red Sox, and most
recently, the
Milwaukee Brewers. He received his degree in environmental studies,
with a
self-created minor in field management from Knox College. He is
from Galesburg,
Illinois.
Matthew
Bosen will return for
his second season as General Manager of the Class-A Affiliate of the
Oakland
Athletics and Katie Pietrowiak will continue as the Director of Ticket
Operations and Merchandise.
Opening
Day 2013 at Pohlman
Field is set for Thursday, April 11 at 6:30 pm vs. the Burlington Bees.
