RiverDogs Promote Parker & Cullins

Club Also Adds Wolfe As New Special Events Manager
December 7, 2012
CHARLESTON, SC - Charleston RiverDogs General Manager Dave Echols has announced the promotion of two employees and the hiring of one more.

Peter Parker has been elevated to Food & Beverage Manager while David Cullins has been promoted to Sales Representative. In addition, Kristen Wolfe has been hired as the new Special Events Manager.

Cullins and Wolfe were all participants in the RiverDogs' internship program, which is regarded as one of the best in the region.

Parker, of Woodford, Va., most recently was the club's Picnic and Commissary Kitchen Area Manager. Prior to joining the RiverDogs, Parker spent five years as a food & beverage operations manager for Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, in Doswell, Va., where he earned his certification from ServSafe, a national certification program of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.

Cullins, who served as the club's Box Office Manager the past two seasons, now moves to the sales staff.

A native of Clements, Md., Cullins is 2010 graduate of Coastal Carolina University where he earned his bachelor's degree in Recreation and Sport Management. He interned with the RiverDogs in the Summer of 2009 and was hired fulltime in January 2011.

Prior to joining the staff, Cullins worked for Firefly Sweet Tea and traveled the country to promote the beverage at various NFL and major college facilities. He also spent time as a media relations intern with the Grand Prairie AirHogs in Grand Prairie, Texas, and he received his first employment working with The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach.

Wolfe, who graduated in May from College of Charleston, interned with the RiverDogs during the Summer of 2011 and worked with Melissa McCants Azevedo in orchestrating the club's many special events.

A member of the Cougars' cross country and track and field teams, Wolfe was the College of Charleston's nominee for the prestigious Coleman Lew Leadership Award as presented by the Southern Conference. While a student, Wolfe also interned with the Cooper River Bridge Run.
