Hot Rods Officially Begin Fifth Season of Giving Back

Team is Driving Tickets to the Salvation Army This Holiday Season
December 19, 2012
Bowling Green, KY - The Bowling Green Hot Rods, Class A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, are celebrating the start of another season of giving back in South Central Kentucky. Consistent with the Hot Rods community mission since the team's inception and in the spirit of the Holidays, a ticket match program has been set up in conjunction with the Salvation Army, allowing them to provide tickets to families who might not ordinarily be able to attend Hot Rods games.

Since Thanksgiving, the Hot Rods and the Salvation Army have provided fans an opportunity to participate in a ticket match program to benefit underserved families in the community. For every Mini-Plan Ticket package and Holiday Pack purchased, the Hot Rods are donating the same number of tickets purchased by the community back to the Salvation Army. With over 400 tickets already purchased through Friday, December 14, and backed by a Holiday push, the total number of tickets donated to the Salvation Army will spike as we approach the New Year!

Community organizations interested in partnering with the Hot Rods can contact Jennifer Johnson with the Hot Rods at (270) 901-2121. More information can also be found at BGHotRods.com.

On sale now are Hot Rods Mini-Plans which include over $50 in additional value and start at just $60, as well as Holiday Packs beginning at $25 which include tickets, Hot Rods apparel, a 2013 Hot Rods Calendar, and more. The fifth season of Hot Rods baseball in Bowling Green begins with Citizens First Opening Night on Monday, April 8 at 7:05 PM against the Lansing Lugnuts (Blue Jays).
