Dusty Dellinger Joins PBUC Staff

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Dusty Dellinger has been hired by the Professional Baseball Umpire Corp. (PBUC) as a part-time field evaluator/instructor. PBUC is a subsidiary of Minor League Baseball that observes, instructs and evaluates umpires for all domestic Minor League Baseball leagues.

Prior to joining PBUC, Dellinger, a graduate of the Wendelstedt Umpire School, umpired in the New York-Penn, South Atlantic, Carolina, Southern, International and Arizona Fall leagues. He spent time in the Major Leagues on a part-time basis. Dusty also umpired in the Puerto Rican Winter League, and was selected to umpire in the inaugural World Baseball Classic in 2006.

Dellinger, whose umpiring career spanned 11 seasons, will be based in China Grove, N.C.
