World Series Champion, "King Fish" Tim Salmon Headlines Owlz 2013 First Pitch Dinner

The Orem Owlz are pleased and excited to announce Tim Salmon, known to Angels fans as the "King Fish", will be the featured speaker at the 6th Annual Owlz First Pitch Dinner. The event will take place on Saturday, April 27th, 2013 at the UCCU Center in Orem.

"Tim Salmon is an Angel hero," says Jeff Katofsky, Owlz majority owner. "We are so lucky to have a World Series hero honoring us with insight and stories of Angel lore. I know our fans are in for a great evening of fun, food, baseball and laughter."

Salmon played his entire career with the California/Anaheim/Los Angeles Angels, with 14 years in the Major Leagues as right fielder and designated hitter. He was crowned American League Rookie of the Year in 1993, awarded the Silver Slugger in 1995, named the American League Comeback Player of the Year in 2002, and was an integral part of the Angels World Series Championship win in 2002.

"The opportunity to have one of the all-time Angels greats Tim Salmon join us at the First Pitch Dinner is a thrilling way to kick off our 2013 season," said Jillian Dingee, Owlz Assistant General Manager. "Having a World Series Champion share stories is something we don't get to experience every day, and this evening with Tim will be a special event for all baseball fans."

All tickets for this event include dinner, and can be purchased individually for $75, or a table of 8 seats can be purchased for $450. Owlz season ticket holders receive a special discounted rate of $55 per seat. Salmon will be available for autographs and pictures during the hour before dinner. A formal speaking program will follow the meet and greet.

Another highlight of the First Pitch Dinner is a silent auction benefitting the Owlz Booster Club. Items for bid will include autographed memorabilia from former MLB players, current Angels players, and former Owlz players.
