Lakewood welcomes U.S. keeper Meola
Meola, who played for the United States in both the 1990 and 1994 World Cup, will visit the ballpark for the 7:05 p.m. game against Lake County to meet with fans and sign autographs. A Jersey Shore resident, Meola is currently a member of the New Jersey Ironmen of the Major Indoor Soccer League. Members of the Ironmen Dance Team will also be in attendance.
Soccer teams from throughout the area will be able to participate in a pre-game parade around the field at FirstEnergy Park. Group tickets are still available by contacting Bill Kemp at (732) 901-7000 ext. 160.
The New Jersey Lottery will also be distributing Instant Lottery Tickets to the first 2,000 fans 18 and older.
Thursday night will also be Charity Night at FirstEnergy Park, as charities from around the area visit to distribute information about their various worthwhile causes.
Don't miss Michael Taylor, Drew Naylor or any of the BlueClaws when they return to FirstEnergy Park to begin the second half. Tickets are available for every remaining BlueClaws game online at BlueClaws.com, over the phone at (732) 901-7000, or in-person at the FirstEnergy Park Ticket office.
