Dust Devils Roster Released

The Colorado Rockies have assigned 26 players from extended spring training to the Tri-City Dust Devils. This group of Rockies veterans will be joined by more players drafted by Colorado in the recently completed First Year Player Draft. The following players will be reporting to Tri-City on Tuesday, June 10th.

Pitchers Highlighting the pitching staff will be a quartet of former Dust Devils that will begin the season in Tri-City on rehab stints. Josh Sullivan, Sean Jarrett, and Ethan Katz were members of the 2006 team, while Drew Coffey was a starter in 2007. Also returning to Tri-City are Austin Chambliss, Kenneth Durst, Andrew Groves, and Brandon Miller. Moving up a level from Casper are Jonnathan Aristil, Parker Frazier, Juan Nicasio, David Parker, and Robert Paschal, while Michael Marbry joins the Dust Devils after spending the 2007 season in Asheville.

Catchers Two backstops return to the Tri-Cities - Johnny Bowden and Jordan Pacheco. Pacheco was an infielder last season and has been converted to catcher. Another catcher, newcomer Jhaysson Agustin spent the 2007 season in Asheville.

Infielders Radames Nazario and Derek Kinzler both return to the Dust Devils after spending part of the 2007 season in Tri-City. They will be joined by former Casper Rockies Austin Rauch and Chris Vasami.

Outfielders Josh Banda is the sole returner in the Dust Devils outfield. Four additional outfielders played in Casper in 2007: Brent Bowman, Chad Lembeck, Leonardo Reyes, and Scott Robinson.

The Rockies will assign drafted players to the Dust Devils in the next few days as they are signed to professional contracts.
