Day Four: Uncle Slam Spotted at Lake Ridge Florist

Leading up to the unveiling of the rejuvenated Uncle Slam on Saturday, February 16th, at Wegmans. the Potomac Nationals will be chronicling Slam's whereabouts in Northern Virginia this week with help from tips provided by P-Nats official sponsors and community partners.

Thursday, Uncle Slam was spotted picking up bouquets of flowers from Lake Ridge Florist, at Tackett's Mill, 2253 B Old Bridge Road in Woodbridge, to deliver to his many valentines. He selected bouquets of 12 red roses and added two ticket vouchers for his valentines to come see him cheer on the P-Nats this season.

Slam is ready to show off all his hard work spent at the Official Gym of the P-Nats, Gold's Gym Lake Ridge, as he's been recovering from last season's injuries. He's fully regained his strength and this week has been spotted out in Woodbridge filling up at the All American Steakhouse, Uncle Julio's and bluberi.

"Uncle Slam is looking forward to the season starting and being able to present flowers to his special sweetheart of the game again," said Alexis Deegan, Director of Community Relations.

Be sure to catch Uncle Slam's 2013 debut on Opening Night, April 5th as the P-Nats host the defending Carolina League Champion, Lynchburg Hillcats (Atlanta Braves) at 7:05pm.
