Braves Miracle Field of Rome Spring Season

It's almost time for baseball at the Braves Miracle Field of Rome.  Registration begins March 1 through Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation Authority at 1 Shorter Avenue and online at rfpra.com.  Registration ends March 22^nd.  The registration fee is still $50 per player and there are scholarship opportunities for interested families.  Miracle League Baseball serves children and adults with special needs from ages 6 and up.  

On March 30^th a pre-season practice will be held beginning at 10am with uniforms being distributed that day.  The season will open on Tuesday April 2 with a special Meet & Greet with members of the 2013 Rome Braves team from 5:30-6pm with the opening games will immediately following.  The season will continue every Saturday starting April 6^th and ending May 18^th with games at 10am and 10:45am.  On April 12^th, all of the athletes will once again be recognized on the field prior to the Rome Braves game versus the Savannah Sand Gnats at State Mutual Stadium.

The Rome Braves home opener is April 6^th against Savannah sand Gnats with the first pitch at 7pm with gates opening at 6pm.  Fans can enjoy a Fireworks Extravaganza after the game.  Groups, parties, and picnics can be booked now by contacting the Rome Braves at 706-378-5100. 

Individual game tickets go on sale Saturday March 16^th at 9 a.m.  The 8.5 Annual Redneck Rummage Sale, the World's Largest, will also take place on that day beginning at 7am.
